The CICAC has always been at the forefront and leading position of international cultural exchanges. It has continuously carried on international cultural exchanges with nearly 60 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Cuba, and has planned, organized, and hosted mutual international activities; it has also actively promoted international cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation, and facilitated friendly international cultural exchanges.
The CICAC, based on the field of "Great Culture", adheres to the cultural and high-quality strategy, and has produced and introduced nearly one thousand sets of films and television dramas, of which more than twenty won the National Five Top Project Award, China TV Drama “Flying Award”, "China Golden Eagle TV Art Awards", "Horse Award" and other national awards. In the past 20 years, the Center has gradually developed its core business range from film and television production, large-scale performances and art exhibitions to cultural and artistic talent development, creative urban space development, industrial culture strategy, international cultural market development, cultural brand cultivation, cultural industry investment and financing cooperation, cultural information infrastructure construction, etc. It has actively expanded new areas on creative city cultural asset cooperation and created new modes of cooperation; based on its film and television program production center, large-scale activity center, cultural and creative production centers, exhibition promotion center and enterprise groups, it has carried out specialized operations and formed a complete industrial chain in its core creative industry from the cultural industry investment to the operation and management.
The CICAC follows the laws of economics in cultural market, gives full play to the value of its brand reputation, unites national banks, trusts and other financial institutions as well as cultural industry fund resources, and actively works together with the relevant state departments to build professional and authoritative investment and financing market assessment system in the culture industry, meanwhile, it adheres to provide a range of scientific norms for investment in culture industry and supporting measures for risk control, and guides the healthy development of China's culture industry.
The CICAC holds the following four objectives: to build a harmonious society; to promote great knowledge of Chinese culture; to provide services for international cultural exchange, and; to carry out the great development of culture industry.
