Mr. TERUO Tsuneda, Executive Director, the Mainichi Newspapers Group Holdings

常田照雄1949年出生,毕业于早稻田大学政治系。1974年加入每日新闻,最初在日本茨城县水户支局从事记者工作。1992年起,先后担任东京本社社会部警视厅小组主任、横滨分局长、东京本社社会部长、东京本社事业本部长,继而任常务董事与事业、广告本部长。2010年兼任国际事业室长以及每日论坛室长。2013年任专务董事以及事业、国际事业负责人。同年,成为每日新闻集团控股株式会社董事,2015年6月至今,任每日新闻集团控股株式会社专务董事以及事业总监负责人。

《每日新闻》是日本最有历史的全国性大报,其历史可追溯到1872年2月21日在东京创刊的《东京日日新闻》,1943年采用现名,已有144年的历史。目前报社拥有总局及支局99处,国内通讯社、记者站267处,驻海外分支机构24处(北京、上海、台北、华盛顿、伦敦、德黑兰、约翰内斯堡、曼谷等),国内印刷厂14处。《每日新闻》日报和晚报总计发行量为440万份,是日本最大纸媒之一。报社还与海外报社建立了合作关系,与中国《中国青年报》、美国《华尔街日报》、印尼《罗盘报》、越南《越南青年报》共同展开报道及文化事业合作,同时积极推进网络新闻等数码媒体以及杂志、书籍出版活动。

Mr. Teruo Tsuneda was born in 1949. He graduated from the Politics Department of Waseda University. In 1974, he began to work in the Mainichi Newspapers Group Holdings. At the beginning, he worked as a reporter in the Mito Sub-bureau, Ibalaki Prefecture. In 1992, he worked as the director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Group of the Social Affairs Department headquarters in Tokyo. From 1998, he began to serve as the head of the Yokohama Sub-bureau. In 2001, he became the director of the Department of Social Affairs headquarters in Tokyo. In 2004, he began to work as the director of a sub-department’s headquarters in Tokyo and then became an executive director and the director of the Business and Advertisement Sub-department. In 2010, he also became the head of the International Business Office and the head of the Daily Forum. In 2013, he worked as a senior managing director and as the head of domestic and foreign business. In the same year, he became an executive director of the Mainichi Newspapers Group Holdings. From June 2015 up until now, he has been a senior managing director of the Mainichi Newspapers Group Holdings and the director-general of the business division.

The Mainichi Newspaper is the nationwide newspaper with the longest history in Japan. It was published for the first time on February 21, 1872, called Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun at the time. In 1943, the name of the newspaper was changed to the current name. It has a 144-year history. At present, The Mainichi Newspaper has 99 bureaus and sub-bureaus, 267 domestic news agencies and reporter stations, and 24 overseas branches (in Beijing, Shanghai, Taibei, Washington, London, Teheran, Johannesburg and Bangkok, etc.). It has 14 printing houses in Japan. The total circulation of the daily paper and the evening paper of the Mainichi Newspaper is 4.4 million. The Mainichi Newspaper is one of the largest printed media. The Mainichi Newspaper has established cooperative relationships with overseas newspaper offices such as the newspaper office of China Youth Daily, the newspaper office of the Wall Street Journal and the newspaper office of Vietnam Youth Daily to jointly report news, etc., cooperate in cultural affairs and actively promote the publishing activities of digital media (including the network news), magazines and books.
